Fifteen robots, four names, one spectrum.

Every Spectrum robot is named for a band of the electromagnetic spectrum, cycling Ultraviolet → Gamma Ray → Infrared → X-Ray without a break since 2012. Each season page carries the CAD, the code, the competition record, and the photos.

About Spectrum

Two rival schools that decided to build together.

The engineering teams at St. Agnes Academy and Strake Jesuit spent three years competing against each other before joining forces for their first FRC season in 2011, taking Highest Rookie Seed and the Rookie Inspiration Award. We also run Photon 8515, our development team, which has built its own robot alongside 3847's every season since 2022.

Photon 8515: Accelerating hands-on student growth.

Founded in 2021, Photon 8515 is Spectrum's sibling FRC team created to give first-year and developing team members direct, hands-on experience in CAD design, mechanical fabrication, programming, and drive-team leadership. Photon builds its own custom robot and competes at two district events each season before uniting with 3847 for playoff matches and championship play.
